this is an old mechanical computer that was used to crack the codes of the enigma machine used by the nazis in world war two.
it’s super huge and expensive and impossibly complicated, i can’t even begin to conceive how to design something like this.
upon further research, this was designed by alan turing.
i learned about him/the stuff he made/did in school, he’s a pretty crazy dude.

when i purchased alkaline trio – godamnit redux on vinyl, there was a coupon on the insert to mail in and asian man records mails you the bonus dvd you would have gotten if you bought the cd, pretty cool.

mine came yesterday and i’m watching it now. they were showing footage from like 1999 at a show and it looked familiar.
